DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a CFO with an industry leader in their field. The role is based in Houston, Texas, and would require moderate travel. This is an incredible opportunity for a high level executive who wants to own the Accounting & Finance function for a growing company. The CFO will play a pivotal role in managing company finances and ensuring that all financial operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently. The CFO will also work closely with the Owner/CEO and President of the organization on a daily basis. You'll enjoy a hybrid work schedule, competitive PTO, and substantial bonus package! Responsibilities:• Provide leadership for the evaluation of strategic financial objectives• Collaborate with the CEO on the strategic vision for the organization and develop financial plans to meet this vision• Foster strong relationships with company executives to understand their needs and provide accurate, timely financial reporting• Develop the annual business plan, including detailed revenue and cost projections, and align company resources for successful plan execution• Negotiate with lenders to ensure maximum borrowing capacity at the best interest rates and loan terms• Maintain accurate 12-month cash forecasts to identify borrowing requirements and ensure lender covenant achievement• Prepare all necessary materials for the Board of Directors, including issuing agenda items, preparing meeting minutes, and following up on areas of opportunity• Issue timely, accurate monthly financial statements to the Board of Directors and company management, summarizing current activity and major revenue or expense variances• Take a leadership role in identifying, developing, and implementing a comprehensive reporting system and job cost system• Hold consistent monthly meetings with business unit leaders to aid their understanding of financials and identify opportunities for financial improvement• Select the auditing firm and work closely with auditors throughout the year related to financial audits and tax filings• Ensure adequate internal controls are in place to protect the financial assets of the corporation• Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws• Coordinate with the company’s tax accountant on tax strategies for the current and future years• Review and approve all purchase orders for inventory, track inventory as part of cash flow analysis, and procure funding for assets• Prepare a financial and management review for acquisition opportunities, handle all due diligence matters related to acquisitions, and assist in preparation of all closing documents.Requirements• Proficiency in 3M and other accounting software systems• Experience with business systems and CRM• Solid understanding and experience in all accounting functions• Expertise in auditing and budget processes• Proficiency in capital management and cash flow analysis• Experience in business banking and managing business banking relationships• Knowledge of outsourcing processes• Expertise in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and Dynamics 365 Business Central• Demonstrated executive leadership skills• Thorough understanding of the accounting cycle and accounting entries• Proficiency in cost accounting and corporate tax compliance• Experience with CCH ProSystem fx - Tax Planning• Knowledge of corporate income tax and consolidated tax return• Familiarity with federal taxes and sales tax• Experience in corporate finance• Proficiency in cash flow modelingJob typePerm
