Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in optimizing production processes, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within our automotive manufacturing operations. This role involves the design, development, and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes and equipment to meet production goals while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Design and Optimization: Develop and refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in the production of automotive components.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the installation, setup, and maintenance of production equipment; conduct troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to reduce waste, streamline operations, and improve overall productivity.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality teams to ensure production processes meet ISO 9001/IATF 16949 standards, conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
  • Project Management: Coordinate and manage projects, including new product launches, production line changes, and the integration of new technologies.
  • Tooling and Fixture Design: Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to design and improve tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to resolve technical challenges and achieve manufacturing goals.
  • Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, and technical reports.
  • Training and Development: Train production teams on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably within the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and CAM programs.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, such as injection molding, stamping, welding, or assembly.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S principles.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming and automation systems.
  • Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt).
  • Experience with robotics and advanced automation in automotive manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 environmental standards.
