We are looking for a skilled and dedicated General Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the upkeep and functionality of our production equipment. Position Overview: The General Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying maintenance issues, performing regular preventative maintenance, and responding to urgent repair needs as they arise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial machinery, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on production equipment to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Assist with the installation, calibration, and setup of new equipment as required. Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules and procedures. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance tasks. Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and support production goals. Respond to emergency repair requests quickly and efficiently to minimize disruptions. Assist in the development and improvement of maintenance procedures and practices. Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools to support ongoing maintenance needs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or Production Supervisor. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or vocational training is a plus). Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills. Familiarity with industrial equipment, such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and HVAC systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work different shifts, weekends, or overtime if necessary. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with automated production systems or robotics. Basic electrical knowledge preferred Knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, and pneumatic systems. Previous experience with Preventive Maintenance Management Software (PMMS) or similar systems.
