Quanex is looking for an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our team located in Cambridge, OH . Summary: The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will complete health and safety inspections of facility, interact with the workforce, and assist with Health, Safety and Sustainability work and projects at the facility. Growth Potential Team-Oriented Environment Dynamic Culture & People What Success Looks Like: Participate in site planning, developing, and organizing strategic safety plans. Partner with local management on safety and health efforts and program management. Tracking and communication of site leading and lagging safety indicators. Assist with coordinating local safety activities, such as safety champion training, program management, LOTO and machine guarding. Assist with monitoring safety programs to ensure compliance with federal and state legislation. Coordinate annual Emergency Response Team and employee evacuation drills including maintenance of evacuation maps. Participate in safety investigations, documents root cause and recommends corrective action where occupational hazards exist and distribute safety messaging. Conduct health and safety training as assigned (both onboarding and task specific). Identify hazardous behaviors, conditions, drive preventative and corrective actions. Participate or lead monthly safety committee meetings and maintain minutes for each meeting. Assist with reviewing metrics for actions and activities to reduce workplace hazards. Assist with the organization and assignments of the safety related program, such as Safety Leadership tours. Assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining standardized work instructions related to safety programs. Manage safety related PPE programs. Coordinate the hearing conservation program including scheduling of audiograms, maintaining of paperwork/records. Conduct job safety and hazard analyses of manufacturing equipment. Support safety programs through time spent on the production floor at assigned locations. Participate in continuous improvement and KAIZEN events. Your Credentials: 3-5 years of experience in EHS required, preferably in the manufacturing industry. Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Certified in the OSHA 10 HR and/or 30 HR training course is preferred. The hourly wage for this position is $23 to $34.56.
