Job Title: Director, SAP Solution Architecture Location: Bear, DE Work Setting: Hybrid | Onsite 2x per week (non-negotiable) Job Type: Direct Hire Work Authorization: U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (Green Card holder) Compensation: $180,000 - $225,000 | Based on experience Overview We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Director of SAP Solution Architecture to lead transformative SAP initiatives and ensure the seamless integration of SAP systems within our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Utilities (ISU) and a proven track record of delivering SAP solutions for utilities companies. This role combines strategic oversight with technical leadership, requiring the ability to guide teams and contribute directly to solution development when needed. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the overall SAP solution architecture strategy in alignment with organizational goals. Lead SAP transformation programs from business process design to deployment, ensuring optimal solutions are implemented. Act as a key advisor on SAP and utilities industry trends, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies. Technical Expertise: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of SAP solutions, with a focus on IS-U modules including CIS, FI, and meter-to-cash functionality. Provide hands-on technical leadership in PL/SQL, WRICEF development, and system integrations. Ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance through robust architecture and development practices. Project Oversight: Lead cross-functional teams, including functional and technical staff, throughout project lifecycles. Manage SAP system upgrades, implementations, and ongoing enhancements. Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of SAP solutions. Collaboration and Mentorship: Partner with business stakeholders to understand and address system requirements. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to optimize project outcomes. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred). 10 years of experience in SAP systems, solutions, and technologies. Extensive expertise in SAP S/4 HANA Utilities (ISU), particularly in CIS and billing systems. Proven leadership in managing teams and delivering complex SAP projects. Strong integration experience with systems such as finance (GL), GIS, AMI, and call centers. Hands-on experience with SAP IS-U WRICEF objects and solution design. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication, facilitation, and negotiation skills. Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business solutions. Preferred Competencies Certification in S/4 HANA, Scrum Master, or Agile Coach. PMP or comparable project management certification. ITIL certification for service delivery management.
