About the job: Hybrid Design Services (HDS) is working towards a sustainable future by innovating advanced energy storage and high voltage distribution systems. We are looking for a Senior Level Technical Specialist to lead our product development efforts. The ideal candidate for this position will have min. 10 years experience with High Voltage system electrical engineering in automotive or defense industries. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development of electric vehicle components and systems, including High Voltage (HV) batteries and HV Distribution Systems. Support System Engineering activities, including Requirements & Specifications, DFMEAs, DVPs, etc. Lead testing of prototype assemblies and subassemblies. Support System Calibration & Troubleshooting . Assist in controls and software development . Support Vehicle Integration activities, including Packaging, Interfaces, Communication, Diagnostics, etc. Develop build, assembly, inspection, and test documentation . EDUCATION: Minimum Bachelor of Science degree from a nationally accredited university or college in Electrical, Controls, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering. Alternative experience, background, and qualifications may be considered. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of ten years' experience in developing electric or hybrid vehicle component systems. Proficient with software development tools such as: MATLAB/ Simulink/ Stateflow CAN tools / Vector CANalyzer Controls Development Platforms: MotoHawk / dSPACE / ETAS / CANape LabVIEW High voltage training and high voltage battery assembly and service experience strongly preferred. Vehicle control systems experience required. ADDITIONAL SKILLS (Optional): Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations for electric vehicles.
