Note from the Owner We are looking for a talented Landscape Architect to join the Residential Division of our company to build and lead our Residential design team. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is interested in growing their career and contributing to the growth of our studio. I am specifically looking for a Senior Landscape Architect who is passionate about innovation and excellence, as well as teaching and developing up-and-coming landscape designers on what it takes to be remarkable design leaders in the industry. The Role The Senior Landscape Architect will work closely with the Sales team to create high-end, complex projects of various scopes, sizes, and styles across the Kansas City Metro area. The successful candidate will assist with business development efforts and client management while leading a team through all phases of the project lifecycle. The Team Member We Need The ideal candidate has extensive experience designing and executing award-winning residential landscapes, residential subdivisions, and entry monuments. We are seeking someone who is passionate about creating exceptional experiences from start to finish for our customers while delivering high-quality design solutions. The ideal candidate will also serve as a mentor for junior designers. We need someone who is growth-oriented and enjoys networking and developing business. Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to: Interpretation of client needs to support the creation of unique, trendsetting designs Manage and/or delegate preparation of design presentations, including site measurements, initial concepts, drafting, hardscape and plant material selection, and attending client meetings Understand the permitting process, estimate jobs to fit client budgets, and create construction documents Produce and/or review all necessary documents for creative and accurate designs and their implementation Stay current with new developments and products in the industry, including attending design events and professional development Generate new vendors and subcontractors through networking, research, and referrals Preferred Experience Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture required Minimum of 5 years of landscape design experience Proficient in Dynascape or similar products, 3-D renderings, Excel, and other MS Office software; knowledge of Aspire is a plus Ability to be organized, proactive, and prioritize multiple tasks both independently and within a team Experience in business development Benefits We offer competitive compensation packages, profit-sharing opportunities, health insurance, 401(k), generous paid time off, and more.
