Reporting to the Director, Events & Conferencing/General Manager for the Arena, The Coordinator, Arena Events & Operations advances event logistics and planning held in the Arena. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, venue rental sales, event planning and management, event coverage and oversight, venue event scheduling, and managing the daily activities required to run and maintain the venue. This is accomplished by providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for all clients, patrons, and artists. This position works within a team environment but will also work independently, often while delivering on tight deadlines. The typical work schedule includes day hours as well as many nights, weekends, and some holidays/college breaks. The Coordinator, Arena Events & Operations is required to have a reasonable understanding of event and production timelines, logistics, and best industry practices. Given the flexible nature of the Arena, this position will be responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director/General Manager. This position will require work performed regularly on campus. Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
