Position Summary: Position Summary: The Commercial/Residential Landscape Maintenance Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for landscaping maintenance contracts. This role involves analyzing project specifications, estimating labor, material, and equipment costs, and collaborating with clients to develop solutions that meet their needs. A successful estimator will assist Business Development Manager in driving revenue growth while maintaining strong client relationships. The Commercial /Residential Landscape Maintenance Estimator will approach all essential duties with the company’s four core values in mind. QUALTY EXCEED EXPECTATIONS LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS SOLOS LOS MEJORES Pivotal Responsibilities & Duties: · Adhere to G&G’s Communication Promise - If the client contacts us BEFORE 5:00pm we will respond by end of day - If the client contacts us AFTER 5:00pm we will respond by 10:00 am the NEXT day · Estimating and Bidding: o Review project specifications, RFP’s or client notes to determine desired scope of work. o Use Property Intel to accurately measure all aspects of property. o Using Aspire, create detailed estimate that includes all needed labor and materials. o Assist Business Development Manager in developing proposal and present bids to clients. o Update and maintain a database of historical costs and project data for accurate future estimates. · Client Relations: o Communicate with clients as needed to understand their needs and provide tailored maintenance solutions. · Project Analysis: o Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for accurate estimating. o Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value-engineering solutions. · Collaboration: o Work with the operations team to ensure project feasibility and alignment with estimated costs. o Partner with the sales team to support client engagement efforts. · Market and Industry Awareness: o Stay informed about industry trends, regional pricing, and competitive benchmarks. o Monitor supply chain dynamics to account for fluctuations in material costs. Required Work Experience and Skills: · Qualifications: o Education and Experience: o High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Management, Horticulture, Business, or related field preferred. o Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in commercial landscape maintenance, estimating, or a related field. · Skills and Competencies: o Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. o Proficiency in estimating software (Aspire/ Property Intel preferred), Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM tools. o Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, plant materials, irrigation systems, and industry standards. · Physical Requirements: o Ability to perform site visits, including walking, bending, and standing outdoors. o Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. · Working conditions: o Office-based role with regular travel to job sites and client meetings. o Occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
