Senior Electrical Engineer (PE Required) Location: Remote or Boston area (with occasional on-site visits as needed) Company Overview Full-service engineering firm specializing in MEP/FP and Construction firm. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical engineering projects. This role offers the opportunity to design infrastructure for large-scale mission-critical facilities. Key Responsibilities: Electrical System Design: Design electrical distribution systems, including generators, ATS, UPS, and switchgear. Modeling & Documentation: Use Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical analysis tools like SKM, AGI 32, and AMPCALC 4 to develop accurate designs. Compliance & Standards: Ensure all designs comply with NEC, IBC, IECC, and relevant codes. Project Leadership: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions. Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to define project goals, provide technical guidance, and conduct site investigations. Technical Reporting: Document design calculations, decisions, and system specifications. Project Management: Act as Engineer on assigned projects, coordinating tasks with the Project Manager and Team Leader. Design & Production: Manage design tasks, including site surveys, system designs, and coordination with other disciplines and consultants. Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and are within budget and scope. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience. Professional Engineer (PE) license. Strong knowledge of NEC, IBC, IECC, and NFPA codes. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other design tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and clients. Preferred Qualifications: Design experience in commercial, institutional, medical, and public buildings such as healthcare, biotech, higher education, office, and mixed-use developments. Familiarity with state building codes, energy codes, and industry standards. Experience in power system analysis and energy modeling.
