Highly innovative fuel cell company, looking to bring on a senior mechanical engineer to build out their highly driven engineering team. Responsibilities: Join the engineering team manufacturing fuel cells Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for Solid Oxide Fuel Cell systems, focusing on performance, reliability, and manufacturability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, and supply chain) to ensure seamless integration of designs into high-volume production. Apply DFM principles to optimize designs for cost-effective and scalable manufacturing while maintaining high-quality standards. Perform detailed engineering analysis and simulations to validate mechanical designs, ensuring they meet rigorous technical and regulatory requirements. Generate detailed CAD models and drawings to guide the manufacturing process and create documentation for ongoing product improvements. Support the continuous improvement of products by incorporating feedback from testing, field performance, and customer requirements. Experience Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3 years of experience in product design and development, ideally within fuel cells, energy systems, or other high-tech industries . Proficiency with DFM and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection moulding, and sheet metal fabrication. Advanced skills in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with FEA/CFD analysis. Ability to work on complex technical challenges, think creatively, and solve problems in a dynamic environment.
