Cloud Architect

Role: Cloud Architect Location: Redmond, WA Client: PTG Key Responsibilities: Design and implement data architectures and pipelines on GCP to support real-time and batch processing. Architect scalable, high-performance cloud-based data solutions using GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, and Cloud Storage. Lead cloud migration efforts for data platforms, transitioning from on-premise data solutions to GCP. Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are implemented in all cloud solutions. Design and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage systems for analytical and machine learning applications. Monitor and optimize cloud data architecture for cost-efficiency, performance, and scalability. Provide technical leadership and guidance to internal teams on best practices for GCP-based data solutions. Automate and streamline data processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager. Qualifications: Required: 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, focusing on data solutions, with significant experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). GCP certifications such as Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect. Expertise in GCP data services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Cloud Spanner, and Cloud Storage. Hands-on experience with designing and implementing data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL pipelines on GCP. Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance, including IAM, VPC, and encryption on GCP.
