SW Engineer-Architect $150,000 - $170,000 Birmingham, AL (hybrid or remote) We're seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer/Architect to lead our technical initiatives. This role is pivotal in modernizing our tech stack, tackling technical debt, and delivering scalable, maintainable solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership: Architect and implement robust web applications, APIs, and system architectures. Lead the migration of legacy systems to modern frameworks. Define and enforce architectural standards and best practices. Provide hands-on technical guidance and support to the development team. Web Development: Develop and maintain responsive web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Build and enhance RESTful APIs for seamless integration. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Mentor and coach team members to foster a culture of continuous learning. Required Skills and Experience: Deep expertise in Perl, Python, PHP, Laravel, and MySQL. Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks. Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs. Familiarity with .NET and SQL Server. Experience with legacy system migration and modernization. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and BRD. Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions. Hands-on coding skills and a keen eye for detail. Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines. Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and containerization (Docker). Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular).
