CAD Technician

Grimes Consulting, Inc. Job Title: CAD Technician Who we are: We are a Civil Engineering and Land Surveying firm, a small group of about 14 people. With over 28 years in business, we offer a wide variety of engineering and surveying services which include Residential and Commercial Surveys, ALTA Surveys, Topographic Surveys, Land Planning, Rezoning, Commercial Site Plans , Hydrology and Flood Studies, along with Drone Photography and Lidar. Many of our Clients come from a wide variety of fields, which include Land Developers, Construction Companies, Real Estate Market, Banking Institutions, Schools, Municipalities, and Businesses of all sizes and Individuals. Description We are seeking a CAD Technician with 3-7 years of experience of drafting experience. The candidate must have AutoCAD Civil 3D capabilities and experience. MicroStation experience is a plus. The candidate will provide drafting and design support for Projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Development of survey plans and construction documents Work efficiently, multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment Perform work in an accurate and timely manner Handle multiple assignments with competing priorities Maintain company CAD standards throughout the projects Key Qualifications: 1-2 years of progressive work experience or Associates Degree in CAD related field Working knowledge of topographic and boundary surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, subdivisions, easement and vacation plats AutoCAD Civil 3D a must Understand project documentation including Plans and specifications General knowledge of MS Office Benefits Include: Competitive Compensation - $25 - $35 per hour based on experience Medical and Dental Plans – Employee only responsible for 35% dependent premium Flex Time work schedule – Work 4 nine-hour days and half day Fridays Life Insurance – Employer Covers Long and Short-term Disability – Employer Covers Vacation/Holiday/Sick Time Simple IRA Plan Flexible Spending Account
