The MarTech Business Analyst bridges the gap between marketing teams and technical teams by analyzing data from marketing technology platforms to identify insights, define system specifications, advise on strategic MarTech decisions, and ensure the effective implementation and optimization of marketing technology tools, including gathering requirements, designing dashboards, monitoring performance, and collaborating with developers to deliver data-driven marketing tools and platforms. Responsibilities Requirements Gathering: Understand business objectives and translate them into functional requirements for marketing technology solutions, including identifying necessary data points and integrations. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze marketing data from various sources (CRM, website analytics, marketing automation platforms) to identify trends, measure campaign performance, and generate actionable insights. Dashboard Development: Design and maintain data dashboards to visualize key marketing metrics and provide real-time insights to stakeholders. Marketing Technology Stack Management: Evaluate and recommend new marketing technologies, ensuring seamless integration within the existing tech stack. Project Management: Collaborate with development teams to implement new marketing technology features, manage project timelines, and ensure successful deployment. User Experience Analysis: Gather feedback from users to identify areas for improvement in marketing technology platforms and user interfaces. Competitive Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging marketing technologies to identify potential opportunities for improvement. Qualifications Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business administration, marketing, information technology, computer science or related fields 1-3 years of experience in marketing, technical writing or project management 1-3 years of experience working directly with technical teams for the purpose of implementing software platforms or improvements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Competencies Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRMs, Digital Ad platforms, Marketing Websites, Google Analytics) and data analysis tools. Business Acumen: Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Data Analysis Skills: Proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and data visualization techniques. Technical Writing: Ability to execute detailed technical documentation based on business process design and input.This documentation includes detailed workflow, UX design including detailed UI concepts, as well as overall data requirements and integrity of design. Project Management Skills: Experience in managing project timelines, priorities, and deliverables. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to leadership.
