Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audio Visual System Engineer to design, configure, and maintain AV systems for our diverse client base. This role requires a technical expert with a knack for problem-solving and a drive to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities System Design: Develop detailed AV system designs tailored to client needs, including schematics, layouts, and hardware specifications. Programming and Configuration: Program and configure AV control systems, such as Q-SYS, Conference Room Solutions, and Dante, ensuring seamless integration. Installation Support: Oversee or assist in the physical installation of AV equipment, including displays, projectors, sound systems, and conferencing tools. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues in both new and existing AV systems, ensuring optimal functionality. Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients to understand requirements, provide training on systems, and offer ongoing support. Team Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, technicians, and other stakeholders to ensure project success. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and user guides. Required Qualifications Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in audio-visual system design, programming, and integration. Certifications: Q-SYS Level 2 Dante Level 3 Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Netgear AV switches, Visionary Solutions, Samsung displays, and conference room integration. Skills: Strong understanding of AV protocols and networking principles. Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications CTS or CTS-D Certification. Experience with large-scale AV installations. Familiarity with Visio/AutoCAD or similar design tools. What You’ll Need for this Role: Knowledge and understanding of architectural drawings and prints Understanding of margin calculations and labor estimating Knowledge of current A/V trends and networking technologies QSC QSYS Level II Dante Certification Dtools SI knowledge Strong communication skills PMP certification, is a plus Manufacturer certifications are a plus What You Can Expect: Review walkthrough notes to build quotes for audio/video/security installations Work with MMS team and clients to assist with creating quotes Produce Rack elevations, blueprints, and Wiring schematics based on quote Programming of quoted equipment Onsite commissioning of the project.
