Position Overview The Project Engineer role is crucial for the success of the New Capital Introduction (NCI) at the facility. This position involves coordinating with multiple stakeholders including Facilities, Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, EHS, accounting, and purchasing to ensure effective and cost-efficient project outcomes. The role demands active participation in planning and implementing facility-wide projects, ensuring the integration of modern technology, and providing guidance to other project owners. Job Responsibilities Follow the New Capital Introduction (NCI) Process Flow and participate in Gate Reviews. Collaborate with customer groups, Facilities, Maintenance, Manufacturing Operations, Engineering, EHS, accounting, and purchasing for project approvals. Manage multiple concurrent individual and team projects to achieve desired outputs. Develop plans for facilities projects, establish priorities for cost effectiveness, and manage budgeting and purchasing related to these projects. Work with internal and external suppliers to plan and implement facility-wide projects. Ensure compatibility of new and existing assets/systems. Provide direction and guidance to other project owners for efficient and sustainable facility impacts. Implement modern technology and verify its effectiveness in facility process modifications. Education & Experience Required Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Minimum 10 years of foundry experience (Operation and Manufacturing) Minimum 10 years of project management and leadership experience Minimum 10 years of experience in sand reclamation projects. Technical Skills Required 10 years of full-time work experience in USA foundry manufacturing and operation Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer service focus Knowledge of engine block casting and machining processes Skills in project management, negotiating, and analytical thinking Experience in should cost modeling, supply chain planning, supplier audits for Assembly, Test, and Paint Conduct feasibility meetings Proficiency in Windows Office 365 applications (Excel, Advanced Excel, PPT, Word) Experience with process improvement, layouts, flow, PPAP, and Advanced Manufacturing process Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures, especially those impacting suppliers. Technical Skills Desired Candidates located in the Midwest (300 miles from Peoria metro) Ability to start at Mapleton IL ASAP.
