The Chemical Process Engineer (Manufacturing Engineer) will support the Manufacturing Engineering team in the areas of Lean and Continuous Improvement activities, problem solving, and process development. The ideal candidate possesses a high level of technical expertise in aluminum anodizing. You will play a critical role in creating and refining processes in order to improve manufacturing safety, quality, and productivity. Responsibilities Create and maintain work instructions and manufacturing specifications Identify and recommend methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and build assembly fixtures, assembly aids, or other equipment needed in developing manufacturing cell to manufacturing parts Leads the creation and maintenance of specific process work Instructions, partnering with the appropriate Business Unit counterpart(s) to ensure accuracy of process Implement Engineering Changes for assigned manufacturing cells Additional duties assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in either Chemistry or Chemical Engineering At least 1 - 2 years' of engineering experience Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Kanban and 5S Technical Knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes such as: aluminum anodizing , injection molding, extrusion, fabrication, metal roll-forming, and heat treat. Strong understanding of manufacturing process design and work cell layout. Knowledge and practical application of Problem Solving / Process Improvement analysis, tools, and techniques. Knowledge of Datum Structure and Design For Manufacturing. Strong working knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts and standard work
