Position: Corrugator Supervisor Location: Kentucky, US Salary: Up to $95,000USD (D.O.E) - Relocation Package Available If Required Position Summary: The Corrugator Supervisor, reporting to the Plant Superintendent, oversees production in the corrugator department, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality. Key duties include managing personnel, meeting production goals, coordinating resources, and aligning schedules with the press department. Key Responsibilities: Production Oversight: Plan and manage shift schedules to meet production targets, prioritize work orders, maintain quality standards, and ensure a steady workflow to maximize up-time and minimize unscheduled downtime. Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to employees, manage time records, and enforce company policies. Participate in employee development, make recommendations for hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions. Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean, safe, and injury-free environment by ensuring employees understand and follow health and safety procedures. Employee Training: Conduct ongoing training for employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, production standards, and waste control. Quality Control: Perform quality control tests according to combined board specifications, verify job quality, and investigate customer complaints as needed. Equipment Monitoring: Oversee the efficient operation of corrugators, inspect materials, products, and equipment, and assist in troubleshooting any production issues or malfunctions. Performance Analysis: Analyze production performance, identify areas for improvement, set goals, and implement strategies to enhance equipment and process efficiency. Coordination with Scheduling: Collaborate with the scheduling department to ensure production requirements align with customer needs and resolve any discrepancies. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate documentation, including daily downtime reports, roll logs, and material usage records. Health and Safety Leadership: Actively contribute to achieving health and safety objectives and ensure compliance with food quality and safety standards. Team Evaluation: Evaluate team performance, including attendance, training results, and overall job performance, and ensure proper staffing levels for efficient operations. Customer Service Focus: Maintain service quality and prioritize customer satisfaction, ensuring production aligns with business objectives. Continuous Improvement: Drive operational improvements through ongoing assessment of procedures and practices, ensuring consistent performance enhancements. Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as directed by the Plant Superintendent. Skills and Abilities: Proven experience supervising in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment, ideally with BRC Food Safety Certification. Strong leadership and employee development skills with the ability to coach and mobilize teams. Excellent understanding of Lean/Continuous Improvement methodologies. Familiarity with business systems such as Kiwi Plan, JDE, SAP, or CTI is preferred. Ability to build trusting relationships and communicate effectively with both individuals and groups. Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of analyzing production issues and implementing solutions quickly. Collaborative team player with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
