Job Title: Software Engineer 2- Payments and Gift Card systems Location: Seattle, WA 98101 (Hybrid 3 Days/Week) Duration: 6 Months (Potential to Extension/Hire) Schedule: 8 AM -5 PM (40 hrs/week) Pay Rate Range: $65 - $68 on W2 Job Description Join our team as a Software Engineer II specializing in Payments and Gift Card systems. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing end-to-end features for our next-generation payment platform, managing millions of orders and creating omnichannel payment experiences. Roles and Responsibilities Participate in agile development and planning processes Write maintainable code for RESTful Services, event-driven systems, and cloud infrastructure Demonstrate understanding of engineering principles to solve business needs Design module interactions and understand business metrics Validate and ensure code quality through various testing methods Identify and optimize performance issues Instrument code for monitoring and create metrics and alerts Adhere to best engineering practices and collaborate with team members Skills 3 years of experience in developing RESTful services and Event-driven applications Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented languages Knowledge of Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, and Apache Kafka Experience with relational and non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB Familiarity with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and event-driven design Strong foundation in software engineering practices, data modeling, and algorithms Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies Education Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Notes Bonus/Benefits Information: Competitive salary and benefits package Interview/Mode/Rounds: Phone screening, technical interview, panel interview Start Date: As soon as possible About ASK: ASK Consulting is an award-winning technology and professional services recruiting firm servicing Fortune 500 organizations nationally.
