A well-established personal injury law firm is seeking an Human Resources Manager to join their team The HR Manager will lead all HR functions, promote employee engagement, and ensure compliance. Location: Houston, TX Central - ONSITE Pay: $85,000 - $90,000 Type: Temp to Hire Responsibilities: Manage the full recruitment process and onboarding program to ensure a smooth integration of new hires into the organization. Work closely with hiring manager to identify needs, create job descriptions, and throughout the hiring process. Process bi-weekly payroll in Paylocity for salaried and hourly employees. Process monthly bonus disbursements. Manage the full benefits process to include enrollments, terminations, and changes for Medical, Dental, Vision and ancillary plans. Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications. Point of contact for all compensation, benefits, and leave situations. Handle disciplinary matters, disputes, performance and investigations Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Work with government agencies in the event of any announced/unannounced inspections or audits. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. SHRM certification a plus 3 years of full cycle HR, benefits administration, and payroll processing experience required. Strong understanding of HR compliance, ADA, FMLA, TWC processes and the ability to handle issues independently. Strong proficiency in MS Office and Paylocity (or similar) software
