Position: Regional Site Manager – Solar O&M Location: Dallas, Texas (On-Site, approximately 1 hour from downtown Dallas) Employment Type: Full-time Overview: My client, a leading developer in the utilities and renewables sector, is seeking a Regional Site Manager to oversee the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) of their large-scale solar project near Dallas, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a renewable energy asset. The position requires a full-time, on-site presence, five days a week. Key Responsibilities: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Enforce the company’s HSE policies and ensure all contractors and third parties comply with industry and company standards. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and training to maintain a safe working environment. Operations Management: Oversee daily O&M activities, including performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring operational excellence. Manage site operations to achieve optimal energy production and operational efficiency. Team Supervision: Supervise O&M contractors, equipment vendors, and third-party service providers, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and quality standards. Provide leadership and technical support to the on-site team. Technical Support: Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operations to maximize uptime and performance. Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules, industry standards, and company protocols. Stakeholder Relations: Maintain positive relationships with landowners, suppliers, contractors, governmental authorities, and other stakeholders. Serve as the primary point of contact for all site-related matters. Policy Development and Reporting: Contribute to the development and implementation of internal operating policies, procedures, and best practices. Prepare and present detailed reports on site performance, safety, and operational metrics. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field, or a technical diploma with 5 years of relevant experience. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of O&M experience in the solar or renewable energy sector. At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role managing solar O&M activities. Strong knowledge of HV substation equipment, solar power generation technologies, and BESS experience is a plus. Familiarity with LOTO procedures and Electrical Safe Work practices. Certifications in Sungrow, SMA, SiemensGamesa inverters, or similar technologies are a plus. Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with CMMS tools (e.g., SAP PM) is preferred. Other Requirements: Valid U.S. driver’s license. Willingness to work full-time on-site and rotate between locations as needed.
