Injection Molding Manager

Role: Injection Molding Manager Industry: Plastic Packaging (Injection Molding) Location: Lawrence, KS RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide guidance to the Tooling Group team members. Monitor mold repair and rebuild intervals. Submit and approve capital expenses for the Tool Room and mold repairs. Monitor efficiency reports and determine areas that require special attention. Coordinate with all support groups i.e. Maintenance, Scheduling, Molding, Printing, Thermoform, and etc. To oversee policies to ensure safety and efficiency. Understand all safety precautions of proper operation of machines and equipment that are used while performing your job duties. Oversee the development and training of new employees and direct the employees in their work habits. Communicate and engage with vendors and suppliers for the Tool Room and order supplies as needed. Troubleshoot problems in the molding process pertaining to the mold. Assist in the training of new personnel. Assist all Tool Room employees in their repair of molds or equipment. Fully understand and utilize the established QSI/ISO, HACCP, AIB, SQF, and GDC procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree preferred. High school diploma/GED equivalent required. Prior experience in mold making, industrial tool maintenance, or injection molding. Ability to read technical drawings and prints. Previous experience with lathes, mills, grinders, etc. is not essential, but highly preferred. If this sounds like you, apply in today
