Report Developer

The Reports Developer will be responsible for: Developing and overseeing BI tools with a comprehensive understanding of the BI system. Transforming large volumes of transactional and historical data into actionable insights via user-friendly dashboards and reports. Designing and implementing scalable solutions to meet evolving business needs in the IT landscape. Collaborating with business users to gather data requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and prioritizing reporting needs. Extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources (e.g., file servers, RDBMS, APIs) into Power BI data models, leveraging Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) for metrics and KPIs. Creating visually appealing and interactive dashboards with intuitive navigation. Presenting data at both summary and detailed levels for clear communication. Presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders through reports and presentations. Performing data quality checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Optimizing reports for fast load times and scalability for large datasets. Training end-users on accessing, navigating, and interpreting reports. Maintaining detailed documentation of data models, business logic, and user guides. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience on a year-for-year basis). Minimum of 3 years of IT experience with BI tools and systems. Proficiency in analyzing BI features, including data modelling, DAX calculations, visualizations, and report design. Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify trends, and interpret data for actionable insights. Strong SQL skills for accessing and manipulating data from various databases. Have a strong foundation in designing and implementing BI systems , with core expertise in transforming data into actionable insights. Proven ability to create visually compelling, user-friendly dashboards and reports. Systematic problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications Expertise in BI technologies such as Microsoft Power BI (PL-300 certification), Oracle BI, or Certified Business Intelligence Professional credentials. Knowledge of executing DAX queries on Power BI Desktop.
