Director of Supply Chain Planning & Logistics Reports To: Chief Operations Officer Location: West Jordan UT/Remote with Monthly Travel as required. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain Planning & Logistics to lead our Team and optimize the end-to-end supply chain planning & logistics processes for a leading Omni-Channel furniture company. This role is critical to leading demand forecasting, inventory management, production planning, and supply chain operations that align with our business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a data-driven approach to decision-making, a deep understanding of supply chain management, exceptional communication and leadership skills. Key Responsibilities · Working with Sr Leadership, Operations, and Sourcing Teams, develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet sales objectives within optimized cost and service parameters. · Oversee monthly demand forecasting, sales and operations planning (S&OP), and execution meeting revenue, service and cost objectives. · Drive the adoption of advanced planning tools, technologies, and analytics to improve forecasting accuracy and decision-making benefiting overall inventory performance. · Maintain supply chain model planning variables and inputs to ensure supply accuracy supporting commitments. · Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain planning, such as forecast accuracy, inventory turns, and service levels. Drive systematic improvement of same across the organization. · Establish inventory policies and targets to balance customer service levels with cost efficiency. · Support new product TTM objectives and subsequent ramp to volume as required. · Align supply chain plans with overall business goals, market trends, and customer demand. · Ensure the availability of products to meet customer demands while minimizing out of stock and excess inventory incidences. · Execute supply purchasing plan within budget and lead time constraints. Work with regional supplier management teams to forecast supplier demand, securing capacity and lead-time commitments. · Negotiate annual freight contracts meeting network inbound and outbound demand, service and cost objectives. · Partner with product, operations and sales teams to streamline processes and improve supply chain performance. · Lead and mentor a team of planners and analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. · Provide training and career development opportunities for team members. · Working with process owners, identify opportunities for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency. · Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on supply chain performance and improvement plans. Qualifications Education: · Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field. · Master’s degree and/or MBA a plus. · APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM). · Six Sigma or Lean certifications a plus. Experience: · 8 years of experience in supply chain planning or a related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role. · Proven track record of success in demand forecasting, inventory management, and S&OP processes. Skills & Competencies: · Strong analytical skills with proficiency in supply chain planning tools & systems. · Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams. · Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex projects and drive results.
