Production Supervisor - Aerospace

Eleven Recruiting is searching for a 2nd shift Production Supervisor to join one of our largest aerospace manufacturing clients sitting onsite (M-F, 3pm-midnight) in Los Alamitos, CA. The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing a fabrication or sub-assembly production area, focusing on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). The role involves directing and supporting hourly employees to meet production targets and company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervise, coach, and support direct reports. Utilize problem-solving processes to identify root causes and implement countermeasures in assembly, welding, and fabrication. Ensure continuous flow through the production area for 1st and 2nd shifts using daily and visual management. Develop and recommend production objectives with short and long-term goals. Supervise the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of finished products. Collaborate with other departments to provide top quality and service to customers. Formulate and implement standard manufacturing practices. Maintain accurate records for employees and programs. Understand and execute the Union agreement. Enforce safety regulations and promote safety programs. Education and Experience: B.S. or B.A. degree OR equivalent experience. 2-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Experience in a collective bargaining environment and lean manufacturing is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong planning and organizational abilities. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of metal forming, fitting, machining, composite fabrication, and sub-assembly testing.
