Power System Engineer

TRC is currently seeking a Power Systems Engineer for one our clients located near Roswell GA. This is full-time permanent position with a manufacturer that possesses a very strong brand. This role will be responsible for designing, modifying and writing programming for power systems and switchgear applications. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Executing and supporting the design, test, manufacture, and commissioning of low and medium voltage switchgear that controls multiple generators which parallel to one or more utility sources. Interacting with internal and external customers to meet project milestones and budgets. Providing direction to CAD designers to create wiring and assembly drawings for generator paralleling switchgear controls. Creating bill of materials for generator paralleling switchgear controls in ERP system. Creating PLC programs for control of generator paralleling switchgear. Executing multiple projects simultaneously. Traveling to support startup and commissioning activities. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree – Electrical Engineering or other Engineering related degree. At least 3-5 years job related experience. Allen Bradley and/or Schneider PLC programming. Knowledge of system operations and PLC based controls. Have a detailed understanding of NEC, UL, ANSI and other standards. Have an understanding of power generation and switchgear systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills
