School Psychologist

Required Skills & Experience Master's in school psychology OR Clinical psychology can qualify OR Psychology (would need to get a few certs & would have to pay out of pocket) Could also have Bachelor's in School Psychology Nice to Have Skills & Experience Previous experience in education Job Description As a member of the Intervention Team and ARC, the psychologist will be responsible for the assessment, educational planning, monitoring, and re-evaluation of students in need of special services, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations. They will use observation and various assessment techniques as a certified psychological examiner to make psychological diagnostic evaluations of individual students in terms of social, emotional, and intellectual development, identifying and diagnosing learning strengths, difficulties, and adjustment problems that manifest in a school setting. The psychologist will share their findings in writing and orally with appropriate staff and family to ensure effective interventions and programs are provided. Additionally, they will collaborate with other ARC members, teachers, and parents to prepare an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) for each identified student.
