Agile Coach II- Operations Department- Hybrid

UPMC has an exciting opportunity for an Agile Coach II position in the Operations department. This is a full time daylight shift and will be a hybrid position consisting of working from home and in office located in Pittsburgh, PA. The Agile Coach is a servant leader that is part of the Insurance Service Division (ISD) Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE). Agile Coaches coach teams to self-organize, self-manage and deliver via effective and agreed upon Agile practices. They remove impediments and foster an environment where team members collaborate freely, produce high quality products and/or services, and continually strive to improve. The Agile coach spends much of their time helping team members communicate, cooperate and assist in the development of products and services. Responsibilities: Assist in training new teams in the fundamental principles and values of SAFe, Agile, including Scrum and/or Kanban frameworks; schedule refresher training as needed. Coach Product Owner and Scrum Masters, to apply SAFe to write good user stories, prioritize work based on business value and Minimal Viable Product, relative story sizing/estimation, and Acceptance/Doneness criteria. Coach Product Managers with the program backlog and features. Coach Epic Owners on how to work in the SAFe environment while aiding in defining MVP, and developing features. Coach agile teams with facilitating Scrum ceremonies/meetings such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming. Generate metrics from Azure DevOps and identified improvement areas in process every sprint. Consistently achieve sprint goals by fostering a culture where the team has ultimate responsibility and ownership for delivery of the items in the sprint backlog. Employ a servant leadership style to encourage team members to perform at their highest potential; encourage the team to embrace self-organization and inspire implementation of the Agile mindset and Scrum and/or Kanban framework. Identify and remove impediments and/or guide removal by the team. Build a safe and trusting environment where obstacles can be identified and openly discussed in order to resolve individually or as a team. Champion organizational cultural change on strong ownership, one-team attitude, empowerment, and transparency by collaborating with other scrum masters, leaders, and project managers. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience. Leading SAFe certification..3+ years of experience working directly with Agile teams on projects as a Scrum Master. Demonstrate servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment and transparency? Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrate solid understanding of Agile principles and frameworks: Scrum, XP, Kanban, SAFe, LeSS, Crystal, FDD. Scrum master certification. Knowledge of agile toolsets (Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc)?
