Must Have:

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design.

Skills:
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Experience with PLC and HMI systems.
- Ability to oversee projects from conception to completion.

Travel:
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time to job sites along the East Coast.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Development:
- Create and implement electrical systems for industrial, commercial, and custom projects.
- Design control panels, wiring layouts, and electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Ensure designs result in safe, profitable installations that meet customer requirements and schedules.

Systems Integration:
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
- Ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into automation frameworks.

Project Oversight:
- Manage electrical projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with customers, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure designs meet specifications.
- Conduct site visits for installations and troubleshoot issues.

Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all designs and installations adhere to local, national, and international electrical codes (e.g., NEC).
- Conduct risk assessments to uphold safety and operational standards.

Testing and Maintenance:
- Test electrical systems to ensure functionality and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and automation system failures.
- Perform preventive maintenance and recommend efficiency upgrades.

Collaboration and Innovation:
- Work closely with the engineering team, project managers, and clients to deliver tailored solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to implement innovative solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Project Drawings: Review and make necessary corrections to project drawings.
- Reporting: Report drawing corrections and issues to the Engineering Manager or President.
- Internal Tasks: Perform specific duties internal to WV Electric.
- Customer Focus: Analyze and interpret schematics, blueprints, and specifications to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MATLAB, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g., NEC, IEC).
