As a Manufacturing Engineer you will optimize factory costs, quality, and customer service through the conception, development, and implementation of new or improved manufacturing processes, equipment, tooling, material flow, plant layout, or product design.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate and implement basic training initiatives to support manufacturing.
- Specify and justify basic capital expenditures.
- Purchase and implement tooling and equipment to support daily operations.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Recognize and recommend design and process changes to improve manufacturability.
- Identify and implement improvements to material utilization, cell layout and machinery efficiency.
- Provide summarized data to influence key management decisions relating to budgeting, staffing, and capacity planning.
- Participate in Lean and safety initiatives.
- Manage basic individual projects in accordance with predetermined completion dates.
- Support production and manufacturing to optimize quality, productivity, on-time delivery, and operational efficiencies resulting in improved customer satisfaction.
- Support production and manufacturing quality management system and policies.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience in engineering required.
- 4 Year / Bachelor Degree in engineering required
- Basic CAD skills strongly preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Lean concepts preferred.
