Job Description:
LearningObjectives:
The goals of the Veterinary Technology AnimalCare Project are:
- To increase veterinarytechnology students' proficiency in the basic animal care and husbandry skillsthat are required by the program accrediting agency and are necessary forprogram and job success.
- To promote an appreciation of the personal responsibility of RegisteredVeterinary Technicians to provide dedicated compassionate and thoroughtreatment to animals under their care.
- To allow animal patients in the Veterinary Technology Program increasedcontact with human care-providers in a non-threatening environment.
- To promote a spirit of teamwork and an attitude of honesty andprofessionalism when caring for patients and clients.
- Consistently maintain 6 credit hours each semester;
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress;
- Adhere to College's confidentiality policy;
- Successfully pass background/drug screening;
- Answer phone and take messages;
- Clerical duties such as filing, data entry, copying and faxing;
- Open and sort mail;
- Strong interpersonal communication skills;
- Willingness to learn new technology;
- Assist with special projects;
- Other duties as assigned.
