Senior Structural Engineer - Industrial Water / Wastewater

Our industry-leading client is searching for a Senior Structural Engineer - Industrial Water / Wastewater for its growing Water Practice. The Senior Structural Engineer will lead project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments on a variety of industrial and municipal water/wastewater projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Working in a variety of markets ranging from power, manufacturing, pipeline, aviation, government and military facilities
  • Work on Typical structures including steel pipe racks, steel supports, concrete foundations, vaults and wet wells, tanks (filters, aeration basins, clarifiers, etc.), and pump stations.
  • Design of new structures, condition assessments of existing facilities and recommendations for rehabilitation is expected.
  • The Senior Structural Engineer will lead the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting structural plans according to budget constraints, design factors, or client needs.
  • Coordination with field personnel to resolve design-related installation issues, calculations, field inspections and testing of materials.
  • Leads field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
Key requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program with a structural focus.
  • Structural Engineering License (SE) preferred.
  • 5 years of structural engineering experience. EPC project experience preferred.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • Strong knowledge of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Strong knowledge of structural design codes (e.g., IBC, AISC, ACI, ASCE7, PIP).
  • Strong computer skills in structural analysis programs (e.g., RISA, AutoCAD, BIM, Revit and Tekla)
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills, and the ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
