Matty's Catering is looking for a talented and competitive Event Operations Manager. Matty’s Events Operations Manager assists with and manages all aspects of an event (on or off premise) including but not limited to setup, staffing, serving and cleanup/shutdown.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure the proper setup, execution and breakdown of catered functions.

· Proactively manage upcoming events and pickup/drop off orders to include load lists ,event diagrams, etc

· Interact effectively with guests and event hostess/host. Resolve guest conflicts and operational problems and exercise efficient decision-making ability. Report food related issues to Chef & Director of Catering.

· Maintain effective communication with banquet staff; be responsive to staff suggestions and concerns and work to resolve problems. Meet regularly with staff and ensure that staff is kept aware of issue relating to event/catering department.

· Attend meetings as scheduled and maintain effective working relationship with all restaurants & catering managers.

· Communicate effectively with catering staff on all events, guest comments & complaints, menus and counts. Coordinate details of events with and act as liaison between guest and restaurant & catering managers.

· Supervise the proper handling and storage of all event furniture, table settings, equipment and supplies

· Load and unload vehicles for events
