About the Position: This position will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist for the 599th Transportation Brigade. This position may be filled as a term appointment please see the additional information section for further guidance. Responsibilities Serve as the senior technical authority for the logistics operations of the organization and its geographically dispersed subordinate units. Oversee a broad logistics management program across multiple areas including property accounting, maintenance, storage, transportation, facilities management, and emergency operations support. Responsible for the oversight and review of logistical functions. Analyze the logistics and readiness management systems to identify areas for improvement. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supporting logistics programs such as centralized property accounting, reporting systems, maintenance, transportation, supply, storage, and facility management across multiple geographically dispersed locations; assisting in identifying problem areas through data analysis and providing support to senior logistics staff in the development of corrective actions; and coordinating logistics support for unit operations such as exercises, training, deployments, and mobilizations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer Resources Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
