Structural Engineer

Tesla is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, office, and data center facilities on our high-tech campus in Austin, TX.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing, office, and data center projects
• Coordinate structural design on multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Piping/Plumbing, manufacturing, and IT professionals
• Conduct structural analysis and design of concrete and steel structures, along with the creation of justifying structural calculations
• Make technical assumptions, think independently to complete assigned work, and draw conclusions based on engineering judgement
• Working knowledge of US building codes and structural design standards

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in structural design of commercial, industrial, or manufacturing industries
• Licensed professional engineer (PE or SE) in good standing or passed NCEES Engineer-in-Training (EIT) exam
• Familiarity with Revit Structural and experienced with Navisworks, RISA 3D and/or ETABs
• Detail-oriented and technical yet experienced enough to see the big picture. Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines
• Self-directed, highly motivated self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal oversight
