Job Description
Provides assistance as a member of the Restaurant Team, including cleaning, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products. Provides assistance as a member of the Restaurant Team, including cleaning, counter service, sanitation, and stocking of products. Dishwasher Responsibilities:
- Washes, stacks, sorts, and stores dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware (by dishwasher or hand).
- Clear away dishes from tables.
- Maintains a clean kitchen and keeps dish area organized and free of clutter.
- Sets up dish stations, including dish-washing machines and sinks.
- Maintains clean, dry floors throughout the shift.
- Cleans and sanitizes storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
- Assists in storing food deliveries
- Monitors trash cans throughout shift, making sure to remove full trashcans and boxes as needed and at the end of each shift
- Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef and other managers as needed
- Follows sanitation and cleaning procedures
- Ensures that dishwashers are in working order and reports problems as they arise
- Assists with closing, including aiding in the sanitation of cooking and food preparation stations.
- Greet customers and courteously respond to inquiries.
- Perform all other necessary duties as assigned.
Dishwasher Job Skills and Qualifications:
- High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 LB goods.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Notice and address even the smallest cleanliness issues.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under intense time pressure.
- Dedication to on-time arrival for shifts.
- Availability to work various hours, days, and shifts, including weekends.
- Polite and hospitable attitude
- Basic proficiency in Japanese
