Description
CEC Motor and Utility Services has an immediate full-time opportunity for an Industrial Electrician Apprentice at our service center in Palmetto, FL. The position includes the installation, maintenance, and service of three-phase electrical systems, troubleshooting controls, and working with high voltages.
Hours
Note: This position requires drug and background screening.
Responsibilities
•Work alongside electricians and complete tasks as instructed
•Follow all safety protocols
•Assist electricians in troubleshooting causes of electrical failures
•Assist electricians in installing VFDs, generators, electrical motors, and automatic power transfer switches
•Learn and adhere to NEC requirements
•Interpret complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping layouts
•Work as a team member to complete daily activities according to the work schedule
•Understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions
•Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
•Valid Driver's License (required)
•High school diploma or equivalent (required)
•Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and piping layouts (required)
•Willingness to learn
•Basic knowledge of electrical systems and components
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications:
•Previous Electrical Experience: 1 year

- Monday - Friday (7 am - 3:30 pm)
- Weekly
- Non-Exempt
- Exposure to direct sunlight
- Must be able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds regularly.
- The Industrial Electrician Apprentice reports to the General Manager
