About the role
The Project Engineer is responsible for the safe, environmentally sound and efficient daily operation of the facility and all Capital Projects.
Position Responsibilities:-
Ownership of all Capital Projects.
Act as a liaison between all Facility departments to gather information about precise needs and requirements for Products.
Ability to support and manage all engineering responsibilities during scheduled and non-scheduled boiler outages. Engineering responsibilities include pressure part replacement, boiler and flue inspections, turbine generator repairs, and any support required by the O&M group.
Plant Performance Management including but not limited to; monitoring, plant performance, tracking bump & dent, working with plant to mitigate production impediments and innovating performance enhancements.
Inspect equipment at facility and understand the specifications of needed Products.
Support procurement team to strategically source parts matched with supplier competencies by reviewing and assessing supplier manufacturing processes and quality systems.
Assemble a package of specs, blueprints, etc., work with several suppliers, and shortlist which supplier/s can best match the requirements.
Create and define supplier technical and quality requirements based on customer and program requirements and expectations for NPI and production phases.
Build and write Job Scopes for Bidding
Perform on-going supplier management and assurance activities across a portfolio of suppliers to help effectively manage the performance, cost, and risk in its supply chain.
Maintain supplier performance metrics (cost, delivery, service, quality, innovation, social responsibility) together with the Procurement team.
Identify supplier improvement and risk mitigation opportunities at key supplier sites and manage these improvement activities.
Identify and monitor cost drivers, indices, burdened labor costs per country, freight etc. to challenge Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Ability to do ALL Plant activities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, addressing problems on-site to improve existing plant performance.
Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to plant operations - and help drive/lead those projects through the execution and commissioning phases.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10+ years of experience Industrial, Supply Chain, Technical, or another related field.
Willingness to travel (10%).
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and Holidays.

Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
Consistently work in various weather conditions
