A Global Government Contracting Company is looking for a dynamic Staff Software Systems Engineer to join the team in Sunnyvale, California.

As a Systems Engineer Stf , you will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and deploying solutions to maintain smooth operation of virtualized computer system environments
- Lead technical development projects and hardware refresh efforts
- Providing overall on-site maintenance and support of the Unix and Windows systems
- Serving as the primary point of contact for issue resolution
- Performing Backup/Restore/Disaster Recovery, Hardware/System Monitoring, and System Maintenance
- Creating and maintaining user, administrator, and service accounts
- Fine tuning system performance, maintaining system documentation, installing system wide software, and allocating mass storage space
- In-depth knowledge of Linux systems
- Ability to troubleshoot system integration issues in mixed Linux & Windows Systems
- Experience with Unix and Windows systems administration
- Experience with networking technology
- Ability to cover off-hours shift work as required to support mission critical systems and user needs (approx. 2-3x/year)
- Security+ CE Certification
- US Citizenship and active Secret DoD Clearance
- VMware, ESXi, VMView/View Horizon desktop/server virtualization, Zero/Thin Clients
- Experience with DNS, Active Directory, GPO or DHCP configuration.
- Familiarity with Windows Domain Administration
- Understanding of RMF and NISPOM security controls and implementation
- Configure HW/SW for servers, RAIDs, 3PAR, storage arrays, library storage devices
- Monitor system usage and perform system tuning
- Basic troubleshooting of Storage Area Network (SAN) and Networked Attached Storage (NAS) supported protocols including mixed mode
- OS updates, antivirus, WSUS patching/updates, Upgrades/Maintenance
- Ability to obtain Top Secret DoD security clearance
