Description

CME Associates is seeking an experienced and licensed Professional Municipal Engineer to lead and manage projects for municipal clients. This position involves overseeing the design, planning, and implementation of critical public infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with regulations and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of municipal engineering practices.

Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead the design and management of municipal projects, including roads, water and wastewater systems, stormwater management, and public facilities.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor to municipal clients, addressing their needs, presenting project updates, and offering expert engineering guidance.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all projects meet local, state, and federal regulations, and prepare detailed permitting documentation and reports.
  • Municipal Development Review: Oversee and review zoning, land use, and development applications to ensure compliance with municipal codes and infrastructure capacities.
  • Team Supervision: Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff, fostering collaboration and ensuring project goals are met efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in municipal engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of managing municipal projects.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS tools, and other engineering software. Experience with hydrology and stormwater modeling tools is an asset.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and build strong client relationships.
