Our Merchant team is seeking a talented, versatile Senior Merchant to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate command of assortment planning, strategic pricing, competitive market analysis, strong cross-functional leadership skills, exceptional analytical skills, and a track record of success in driving positive and continuous improvement within the organization.

In This Role
  • Partner with Product Development in creating brand assortment line plan and execution of product strategy
  • Analyze data to identify profit growth opportunities and drive sales in new or existing categories
  • Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and challenges
  • Strategize and collaborate with Marketing on future promotional plans
  • Develop markdown strategies for end-of-life product
  • Work with Planning team on setting initial forecasts and issuing first production run purchase orders for new product
  • Assist with establishing product pricing and creating strategy to maximize margin
  • Provide Planning team with support in buying and forecasting
  • Own weekly and monthly metric reporting recaps and provide management team with key findings
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis based on historical sales performance and product attributes
  • Partner with Country Managers and international team to support vendor capacity planning
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to drive process improvements
  • Ensure data integrity

The Ideal Person
  • 5+ years of retail planning, buying or equivalent analytical experience (furniture industry experience highly preferred)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel required
  • Bachelors Degree in Merchandising or related field Required
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned work projects
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and motivated individual with an attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally
