Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This individual will play a critical role in leading and managing water/wastewater projects from inception through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for business development activities, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our practice in the region.

Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This individual will play a critical role in leading and managing water/wastewater projects from inception through completion, ensuring high-quality deliverables that meet client expectations. The Senior Engineer will also be responsible for business development activities, fostering client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our practice in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead marketing efforts to cultivate new client relationships and expand the firm's presence in the water/wastewater market in Florida.
- Manage, plan, and provide design oversight for water/wastewater projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to project requirements.
- Prepare and monitor project budgets, maintain control of work-in-progress, and ensure accurate client billings.
- Successfully manage project delivery to meet established timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Participate in all phases of project construction, including pre-bid conferences, bid evaluations, contract preparation, and construction oversight.
- Engage in pre-project meetings, client presentations, and interviews to secure new project opportunities.
- Lead project planning efforts from procurement through execution and closeout phases, ensuring efficient project execution and achievement of project goals.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Florida water/wastewater specifications, policies, and procedures.
- Proven track record in managing and delivering complex water/wastewater projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in mentoring junior staff.
- Master's degree in engineering or related field.
- Experience with relevant software applications for water/wastewater design and analysis.
- Active involvement in professional organizations related to water/wastewater engineering.
