How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a production Tester, you will conduct vibration tests ensuring components meet product standards prior to shipment. You will collaborate with a team to exceed quality expectation and on time delivery dates. What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: Safety Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, machines or other devised used in the normal course of the work performed Ensure proper and effective operation of machine and tools throughout entire process Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor Delivery Conduct vibration testing for Division 2, industrial fans Mount fan on test block, or suitable fixture, to perform temporary electrical hook up Accurately monitor and record vibrations Complete corrective actions to meet production standards Advance completed component(s) to the appropriate staging area for next steps in the manufacturing process to ensure customer on time delivery Quality Review orders to confirm materials and proper assembly Monitor quality of own work and report to supervisor defective material, unusual conditions and operating difficulties Refer test and/or test procedure issues to the department supervisor Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects Accurately document work performed per defined procedure Complete all tasks and work within designed time frame and quality guidelines Culture Desire to do the right thing Team player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to position Punctual, on time, ready to work designated shift, every day What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience One year manufacturing environment Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent attendance Technical capacity Prior understanding of electricity and assembly Strong verbal and written communication skills Must be able to clearly articulate data and information Desire and ability to follow safety instructions Education & Certifications High school diploma or equivalent Working Environment The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
