SCADA Controls Programmer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determine server requirements for database applications
• Design and configure database architecture as required by project specification
• Implement database design, including building tables, stored procedures, and queries
• Configure Windows server operating systems
• Object Oriented Programming
• Integration with Industrial Control System (HMI, PLC)
• Implement the design of an industrial automation system with emphasis on Database/Server programming and integration with PLCs and HMIs.
• PLC Programming / HMI Design

Skills/Qualifications:

• Strong verbal, written and listening skills
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles and practices
• Working technical experience with designing, building, installing, configuring and supporting databases
• Competency in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL
• Competency in Windows Server 2003 / 2008
• Programming familiarity with one or more of the following: C++, C#, Visual Basic, Java
• Windows Networking (Managed Switches, Routers, Network Topology)

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with industrial networking and HMI integration is a bonus
• Oracle Experience, any other database technologies not listed above
• Linux Server Administration
• Allen Bradley, Siemens PLC programming
• Industrial HMI Software Familiarity (WinCC Flex, RSView, IA Ignition)
• Knowledge of NFPA 70
• Certifications (Databases, Server, Networking)
