EXECUTIVE OFFICE

The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs strategy and in supporting and enhancing the firms distinctive culture. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

YOUR IMPACT

Investor Relations works closely with Goldman Sachs senior management to shape the firms external messaging for research analysts, debt and equity investors, proxy advisory firms, rating agencies and credit counterparts. This is a unique position that allows candidates to develop an Investment Banking valuation and modelling skill-set and a Global Markets market perspective while gaining exposure to senior management, rating agencies, research analysts and key investors. Candidates will work directly with all members of the group across our debt and equity, corporate governance and rating agency teams.

Debt and Equity Investor Relations

  • Work with debt and equity investor relations team to effectively manage relationships with key constituents including GS senior management, sell-side research analysts and buy-side investors
  • Evaluate and form a view on GS and global competitors from an investment perspective, examining both quantitative and qualitative factors and develop specific expertise on each competitor
  • Audit and maintain financial models focusing on earnings, balance sheet metrics and valuation
  • Research and create regular strategic analyses for business leadership addressing relevant market topics including valuation, returns, volatility, business performance, consensus expectations, earnings takeaways, et cetera
  • Create presentation materials for equity research conferences, senior business managers and investors
  • Coordinate with internal teams across the firm to create talking points and analytics on market or business related issues
  • Participate in firmwide due diligence with key business managers to stay abreast of company specific and industry trends

Corporate Governance

  • Work with corporate governance team to effectively manage relationships with key constituents including GS senior management, GS Board members, shareholders, proxy advisory firms and other external constituents
  • Develop deep understanding of Environmental, Social and Governance risks and opportunities; play leading role in GS external messaging and answer related questions from external constituents
  • Take a leadership role in driving processes and serve as subject matter expert on corporate governance and sustainability to broader IR team and key stakeholders throughout the firm
  • Manage short-term and long-term corporate governance team projects
  • Liaise with a variety of internal constituents across the firm to gather information, coordinate efforts and convey feedback from external engagements

Rating Agencies

  • Work with investor relations team to effectively manage relationships with key constituents including GS senior management and the rating agencies
  • Audit fundamental credit analysis on Goldman Sachs and its peer group and closely monitor industry trends, balance sheet statistics, strategic initiatives, business mix, external messaging and credit ratings
  • Evaluate and formulate informed views on GS and peer credit ratings relative to fundamental analytics and market-based ratings
  • Create analyses for senior management addressing key themes in rating agency research, global rating trends and critical credit metrics emphasized by each of the agencies
  • Coordinate presentation materials for quarterly rating agency meetings and other presentations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WERE LOOKING FOR

  • 2-3 years experience in finance, accounting, economics and markets
  • Investment Banking senior analyst/junior associate and experience in capital markets and/or financial institutions a plus
  • Ability to analyze, evaluate, form independent judgments and think creatively
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to self-direct and manage projects, interact and build relationships across the firm at different levels of seniority
  • Highly detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
