Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will drive growth by identifying new business opportunities, forging strong client relationships, and crafting innovative solutions tailored to our software offerings. Your focus will be on expanding market presence, increasing revenue, and growing long-term relationships. You will be a critical part of a fast-growing, innovative company within the Constellation Software and Volaris Group family.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Strategy
  • Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic plans to enter new markets or enhance existing ones.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align business development strategies.
Lead Generation & Sales
  • Identify, qualify, and engage with prospective clients in target industries.
  • Develop and present software solutions to address client needs.
  • Execute targeted marketing activities to drive new business and demonstrate value to existing clients.
  • Manage your sales pipeline, including the full sales cycle from lead nurturing to solution delivery and on-going account growth.
Client Relationship Management
  • Develop and cultivate new client relationships through lead follow-up and consultative selling. Follow a client journey through the sales process of engagement, discovery, value-building, and opportunity advancement.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding clients' business challenges and recommending tailored solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction to drive repeat business and referrals.
Collaboration & Coordination
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and client success.
  • Provide feedback from clients to help refine and improve software solutions.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness.
Reporting & Performance Metrics
  • Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and business development efforts.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities in the CRM system.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in B2B sales, with a demonstrated history of success in achieving or exceeding individual sales goals.
  • Experience selling technical solutions to multiple levels of buying influences within organizations.
  • Proven track record of selling New-to-Client or New-to-Market solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Experience in 3PL, warehouse automation, industrial engineering, and or custom software solutions a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Technical aptitude to understand and become fluent in assigned product solutions.
  • Proficient in current Sales methodologies and best practices; direct marketing experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively share information to a wide range of audiences. Proven ability creating compelling and targeted proposals and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship, and professional skills. A positive, innovative, solutions-focused mindset is a must.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and drive for results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other teams within organization.
  • Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
