About the Team
Shaner Hotels has an amazing opportunity at our Wellsworth Hotel, a 203- room modern structure with historic attributes, features 24,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space and an exceptional food & beverage operation. Located in the charming New England town of Southbridge, Massachusetts, the Wellsworth Hotel is within an hour's drive of both Boston and Hartford. This elegantly restored, historic hotel combines the beauty and hospitality of a modern hotel with historical touches yet the technological convenience of an IACC-accredited conference center. It has a full-service lounge, restaurant, indoor pool, and extensive fitness center including racquetball and basketball courts.
Responsibilities
Clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
- Observes all house and safety rules, housekeeping room procedures, and security procedures.
- Cleans and services assigned guest rooms by category priority according to franchise and hotel standards.
- Returns and restocks cart at end of shift.
- Complete additional deep cleaning / seasonal cleaning functions as scheduled.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum one year cleaning experience; previous hotel experience preferred.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
- Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.
