Master Electrician

We are hiring a Master Electrician who will supports operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems. The primary focus is on new construction and manufacturing equipment installation. This role requires extensive knowledge of electrical components, safety codes, and regulations.
Job Duties & Essential Functions
This list is not exhaustive and may include other duties as assigned.
- Understand and comply with safety procedures, including NFPA 70E and NEC codes.
- Design and execute plans for electrical wiring, services to new/existing equipment, and facility projects.
- Troubleshoot industrial electrical/electronic systems such as CNCs, robotics, vision systems, labelers, palletizers, leak detectors, temperature controllers, servo motors, HMIs, and PLCs.
- Work with electrical systems up to 480V.
- Interpret machine assembly and wiring diagrams, including European drawings.
- Utilize Microsoft Office and computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical components, including wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, and more.
- Test electrical systems for continuity, voltage, current, and resistance.
- Maintain, repair, and install systems such as switchgear, transformers, motors, and industrial control systems.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate records.
- Train production employees on proper machinery operation and maintenance.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and quality regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Licensed Industrial Journeyman Electrician.
- Formal NFPA 70E training.
- 1-2 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and industrial equipment.
- Awareness of national, state, and local electrical codes/regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Availability to work shifts, on-call, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Proficient in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
- Experience with blow molding machines is a plus.
- Limited travel may be required.
