GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
High Structural Erectors, located in Lancaster, PA, is searching for a Structural Engineer Bridge Erection. The role of this position is to work with the field operations team to develop installation calculations and procedures for heavy civil projects including steel and precast concrete bridge superstructures, precast concrete parking structures and precast concrete architectural cladding. Duties will include the production of sealed calculations for staged construction plans including rigging and fixture design.

The role of this position is to work with the field operations team to develop installation calculations and procedures for heavy civil projects including steel and precast concrete bridge superstructures, precast concrete parking structures and precast concrete architectural cladding. Duties will include the production of sealed calculations for staged construction plans including rigging and fixture design.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND/OR EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- A focus on bridge and heavy highway structures is preferred.
- Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer license, or ability to become a licensed PE/SE
- Progressive structural engineering experience in steel and precast concrete design, bridge design, or erection engineering field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for working effectively and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in effectively working directly with erection personnel to provide sound engineering directives as necessary.
- Experience in Microsoft Office software suite, MathCAD, STAADPro/SAP2000, RISA or other equivalent structural analysis software packages is preferred.
- Proficiency in working with and applying governing specifications such as AASHTO, AWS, AISC, AREMA, ASTM, PCI and various Owner Standard Specifications is preferred.
